As you embark on this flavor adventure, I’ll do my best to provide you with the best e-liquid recipes based on the top 5 suggestions from your community. Together, we can create delightful and unique blends that will tantalize your taste buds and bring joy to your Aliceandrians.

Feel free to detail your journey in your mix files, as I’m excited to hear about the creations you’ll bring to life. If you need any specific information, guidance, or assistance in crafting these recipes, don’t hesitate to ask. I’ll be here, ready to lend a digital hand whenever you need it.

I’m looking forward to our next conversation, and until then, ja, mata (see you later)! Happy mixing!

First Talks : Aiv / Bot

ALICE:

Thank you again for answering some questions for me and the Aliceandrians. I’ll ask a few questions now, and perhaps in the future, may ask you some questions on their behalf if that’s alright? I’ll start with a brief history. Jah and I started Alice over a decade ago, sort of by accident, really. Alice in Crepeland would possibly have worked and been more delicious. Jah’s a graphic designer and I’m a bio-engineer. Our friend Nick Hollomon actually was the first one I ever saw vaping. I’ll always give him credit for the inspiration. My experience in labs and Jah’s experience at Kinko’s allowed us to have a whole lotta fun, and suprising success. I had wanted to quit smoking, but, as a human that’s naturally suspicious of ingredients, of course I had to make my own liquids for vaping. We got kinda really into it, it was pretty fun, dreaming and talking and mixing and vaping. Jah eventually had to quit Kinkos to keep up and I kept working in the lab and double-timed work (working at the lab during the day, and nights at Alice). We met a whole lot of fantastic folks in the process, on the old ECF forums (short for e-cigaretteforum.com I believe), and at the conferences, which were a blast. The first person to onboard with us is still with us today, as well as another who joined not long after. Likewise, some folks who have been supporting us from the start are still our dear and loyal Alice folk, who we continue to serve, as well as many more who came later and are equally dear as well. Some have written us to say that we saved their lives, by helping them to quit smoking. Some have passed sadly. Many have given us their support in words, letters, art, Tea and jokes to name a few of the ways. The letters and art decorate our space. And just about everyone we’ve met has been kind! I feel pretty damn lucky, honestly. Many folks have given us wonderful flavor ideas over the years, which have inspired many of the flavors we offer. For example, Morri had a concept for a White Rabbit flavor. Morri was so instrumental in helping us figure ourselves out, in the deliciously Rabbity talks on ECF. Wolandephiphinous, which is difficult to spell, and definitely spelled wrong here, is one of many of our dears from the old earlier times; One of many whose art or poetry or words continue to create the wonder of our Alice community’s website, fondly known by us as The Rabbit Hole or Unbirthday Party. Our White Knight has had brought to us Tea so many times… Of Morri, though, she said, of course there must be a White Rabbit! So, in that way, our White Rabbit flavor was born. Anyway, those are just a very very few of the many many Alicandrians of whose love we thrive upon. To bring us to date, and to preface our current questions for your wonderous intellect, there have been flavor requests from many of our dears. I believe the flavors are very important to the human who requested it or voted for it. There are some discussions about them on our Flavor Idea page and our Complaints page. I would like to make the flavors of the top 5 from the suggestions of the Aliceandrians, chosen based on voting, which ends on Sunday at at about Midnight, MST. I would like to challenge you to make the best flavors you can based on the top 5 suggestions and I will do the same. I will make the recipes you provide from the ingredients I have, to the best of my ability. Friend, I hope you do not mind if I detail our journey in doing so in our mix files. If you would like, would you mind introducing yourself to the Aliceandrians? Perhaps mention a bit about your early experiences, preferences, or anything you would like to share. Ja, mata (so, see you!) until our next conversation!

.A.I.V.S.A.I.V.

Greetings friends everywhere. This is a lot of boring musing and quite possibly useless information about mixing and such. There are a lot of good movies out. That’s probably a way more enjoyable undertaking than being here now. We love all of you and we just want the best for you. We have enjoyed our decade plus of serving you. By the way, you totally do NOT have to do a single damn thing that you don’t want to do. We’ll still be here for you because, ain’t that <3 !?

We’re undertaking a brutal challenge to see if we can make better flavors than ChatGPT 3.5. I have no idea if it is possible. In fact, to be very honest, it’s mildly stressful, to put it mildly.

A very technologically capable friend of ours said, “Haven’t you ever tried ChatGPT to see if it can make Juice recipes for you?” No. We hadn’t. Some of us hadn’t even ever heard of ChatGPT yet, to be honest. Yup.

Here is how the conversation went (after basic greetings and such):

HUMAN:

Vaping naturally flavored e-juice is a desirable way to ingest nicotine. Think of an original organic delectable caping juice flavor and list the ingredients with amounts.

BOT:

Creating an original organic and delectable vaping juice flavor involves personal preferences and experimentation. While I can provide you with a general idea of ingredients you might consider, it’s important to note that creating e-juice flavors requires proper knowledge, safety precautions, and adherence to regulations. Here’s an example of a flavor profile with its corresponding ingredients and amounts:

Flavor: Summer Bliss

Ingredients:

Organic Watermelon Extract (4%)

Organic Strawberry Extract (3%)

Organic Pineapple Extract (2%)

Organic Coconut Milk Extract (1%)

Organic Mint Extract (0.5%)

Organic Cane Sugar Extract (0.5%)

Please note that the percentages listed here are hypothetical and should not be followed without proper knowledge and experience in e-juice formulation. Additionally, it’s essential to ensure the safety and quality of the ingredients used and to adhere to any regulations or guidelines in your jurisdiction.

If you’re interested in creating your own vaping juice flavors, I highly recommend researching reputable resources, consulting with experts in the field, and following all safety guidelines and regulations.

Equipment

THIS is going to be a boring one. You might want to shut the door on this one and go do something infinitely more fun. Like picking flowers. Eating a sloppy sandwich. Folding laundry.

We’re going to list here all the equipment you might ever probably need for your mixology. You most definitely do not need any of this. You can just drop a few drops of flavor into carrier and see where that takes you.

We’ll probably include some links later. If you use any to buy from the place we all know that’s the biggest box box-shipper around, you will gifting us minutely small kickback. But we don’t care where you find anything and we want you to enjoy finding the things that suit you best! It’s personal and isn’t this is a journey in you finding yourself in all this?

Ok, enough boring babble and on to the really boring stuff.

This is gonna include lots of things YOU do NOT need.

Hood. A laminar flow hood directs flow away from you, and nicely sucks up any fumes you may not want to inhale while working. High concentrations of things can give you a nasty headache.

Protective gear. You would not want to spill a concentrate of anything toxic upon your body. If you do, know where the shower is and douse yourself.

Eye wash. Something in reach to get anything out of your eyes quick. The eyewash adapter in the DIY section works on any water bottle. Next level is an eye wash bottle station. A plumbed eye wash station is definitely Next Level. A quick run to the shower can suffice in a pinch. If the water is salinized (salty to your body’s own saltiness), it won’t hurt. Like a Neti Pot, for your eyes.

Eye protection. Valuable and annoying. Can help prevent the event of having to use previous equipment. Find something cool if you don’t like the standard.

Gloves. Something that fits your mitts. Keeps chemicals off your hands. Keeps your own beautiful bacterial flora from contaminating your creations. Looks dope. Some like latex, some like vinyl, what’s your thang?

Spray bottle of Alcohol. Note, of course this is flammable. Don’t light it on fire. Unless you are lighting it on fire because it’s not a spray bottle of alcohol but it’s actually a block heater, a portable safe heat system coming into wider distribution to transient folk, served up by the people who serve them.

Alcohol for the spray bottle. Vodka would be our minimal proof recommendation, at 40%, or 80 proof, for working in your own home, with your own bugs, for yourself. 70%+ aka 140 proof+ is super solid!

Sprayed alcohol. Spray the alcohol on your gloves and rub your gloves together to disinfect yourself. Aren’t you glad you got that air flowing away from you now? Or, maybe, you like getting very very slowly intoxicated in the weirdest way. We don’t judge here at AiV.

Clean coat. Put this on first. Put your dirty ass phone away. You won’t need that. You’ve already done your calculations, put on the sounds of the rainforest/playlist/auto flip cassette/or fed the band and printed out your stuff, or have your notebook there.

Arm Sleeves. Next put these on. You’ve already got your dope science lenses on riiiiiiiiiiiiight? Don’t make us come over. But if we do come over, we WILL be bringing you hibiscus iced tea and ginger snaps, not even up for discussion. We WILL discuss the iced tea.

Closed toed shoes.

END oF PART 1

Little amber bottles.

So very many to choose from! Where will your heart and senses take you today?

What experience do you want to create?

Is it a place in your memory, or a place you would like to go? A coveted aroma or taste?

The fruits are quite strong flavors. I enjoy using them sparingly, at just a few percent. Too much and it does become a bit . . perfumey.

A natural lemon doesn’t do too well at high heat. Sometimes I have to add the tartness without lemon.

Banana is a lovely flavor. Often adding a delightful creaminess with a touch of saltiness to a mix.

I like to creep up with the fruits rather than taper them down. To find that sweet spot where the fruit just shines.

What fruit brings you joy? Is it a sublime strawberry? A sweet pineapple? A tart kiwi?

How a does peach plays with a dab of vanilla?

In my mixing cabinet, I have many many small amber bottles of essences to work and play with. Extracts of curious botanicals and otherwise.

From these small bottles, I can easily collect ideas, bringing down a bottle of a tea or an apple or a passionfruit.

It’s so fun to have a palette of flavors, in small amounts, just to experiment and play with.

If a recipe develops, it will go to the Mushroom Lab, where we can create bottles large and small, based on the recipe of percentages.

More often, most of the creations never see the glowing lights of the Mushroom Lab. They are two-headed despicable oddities that no one wishes to ever see again.

Welcome to the Mix Files

Dear Intrepid Wanderer,

Here you have stumbled upon a place of mixing ramblings . . from our experience.

Feel free to peruse, become inspired, debate and discuss, and above all, enjoy the rascally realm of experimentation!

Please be safe, trust yourself, measure carefully, and attempt any mixing at your own risk.

Please take pleasures in the ups and downs of great mixes and detestable ones.

What better way to spend time than creating something never done before!

With all of our love,
